Bawumia fires Mahama: The insults won’t secure your victory on December 7th

In a heated exchange ahead of the upcoming elections, NPP flagbearer and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has fired back at former President John Mahama, who recently hurled insults at him. Mahama described Bawumia as “stupid” and “useless” while emphasizing that the election should focus on pressing economic issues, stating, “This election is about the economy, stupid.”

Dr. Bawumia responded by suggesting that Mahama’s resort to insults is a sign of desperation as he anticipates defeat. “Many people have seen what is going to happen so they are worried and scared… They know they are going to lose,” he remarked. He quoted an Akan proverb, asserting that “long talk does not buy a horse,” adding that insults won’t change the election outcome.

Highlighting the accomplishments of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence that Ghanaians will recognize their efforts and reward them at the polls on December 7. He pointed to ongoing development projects, including universities and hospitals, as evidence of the party’s commitment to progress.
