All set for maiden Modest Fashion Show tonight

The countdown is finally over, and the much-awaited first ever modest fashion show will be on tonight at the plush Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The Modest Fashion Show, organised by Shamfiz J Modeling House, is aimed at giving young people aspiring to be models an opportunity to showcase their hidden talents on a big stage.

The innovation is particularly targeted at young Muslims, who despite their passion for modeling, were hitherto unable to do so due to the exposure of vital part of their skin during modeling, which is deemed haram.

According to the organiser of the Modest Fashion Show and Chief Executive Officer of Shamfiz J Modeling, Hajia Adiza Bala Faila, the concept would give opportunities to young girls, particularly Muslims with an ambition to become models.

“This is an innovation and it is the first time this is being done in Ghana. Modest Fashion Show is to tell the world that you don’t have to expose your body to be a successful model. You can cover up and still be a good model and this will offer opportunities to young people who couldn’t be models because they couldn’t expose their bodies. It will particularly offer young Muslims the opportunity to cover up and be models” said Adiza Balla Faila.

Organizers of the show expect to serve patrols a mouthwatering evening with a glitzy show and a successful maiden edition.

“We expect 200 to see a very successful program full of entertainment to leave a mark in the minds of people who will come around with us,” promised Hajia Adiza.

The show starts at 7:00 p.m.
