The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has launched the biography of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
The over 280-page biography, written by Communications Consultant, Tamimu Issah, chronicles the life and values of Dr Sheikh Osman with several testimonies of his exemplary character, including narrations by all surviving former presidents of Ghana.

hing the book, Dr. Bawumia, who wrote the foreword for the biography, described it as “a riveting account of the life and values of Sheikh Osman,” and urged all to get a copy and learn from the inspiring life of the National Chief Imam.
The Vice President eulogised Sheikh Sharubutu as “an astute teacher, an outstanding leader, an empathetic philanthropist, a tireless unifier, an ideal Imam and aa peacefu man.”
Dr. Bawumia also commended the author, Tamimu Issah, and urged him and other authors to write more biographies of Ghana’s heroes and heroines.
The author of the biography, Tamimu Issah, said he was inspired by the examplary life of Sheikh Sharubutu to write the biography in order to document his good values for unborn generations.

He thanked all those who contributed and supported him throughout the process of writing the book, with specific mention of the National Chief Imam, Vice President Bawumia, etc.
The launch was well attended and the audience included members of the Diplomatic Corp, Members of Parliament, Chiefs, business executives and political leaders.
