Zongo boy ‘politely’ embarasses NDC’s Sinare over Bawumia

A young Zongo boy has boldly told NDC veteran Alhaji Said Sinare and his sister that he supports Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP because he has benefitted from free education.

In a defiant move seen in a viral video that has earned the boy plaudits on social media, the boy rebuffed attempts by the Sinares to woo him to stop supporting Bawumia and the NPP.

The Sinares, the former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia when Mahama was President and his sister, asked the boy, who was proudly wearing a Bawumia t-shirt, what both the NPP and Bawumia have done for him to deserve his support.

But the boy stood his grounds and gave responses which really embarrassed the Sinares in the full glare of so many people.

Alhaji Sinare, perhaps, realising that the boy’s responses were not what they had expected, signalled his sister to stop, and he pulled the boy away.

Below is the conversation that took place in the viral video:

Sinare: What has the NPP done for you? I want you to tell me.

Young Boy: Our grandparents and parents have been in the NDC but I don’t see anything the party did for them.

Sinare: We are in opposition so we cannot do anything. I want to ask, as you are wearing this man’s t-shirt (pointing at Bawumia’s picture) what has he done for you?

Boy: he has done everything for me. He has done everything for me. I have benefitted from free education.
