Vice President Dr Mahmud Bawumia on Friday visited Prang ahead of the 46th Celebration, joining the Muslim congratulation to perform the Juma prayers.
The Vise President paid a countesy call on Shaikh Ahamed Andulfaid Maikano Jallo, expressing his Goodwill to the leader of the of the Tijiaaniya Council ahead of the Celebration.
The vice president also thanked Shaikh Maikano and the Tijiaaniya fraternity for it’s unwavering support and appreciation of the good works of the Akufo Addo Government.
The Maulid Nabi, which means the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed, is an annual affair usually observed by the Tijiaaniya sect in the country and across Africa.
Prang, which hosts the home of the Maikano Family has for decades remain the citadel for the celebration of Maulid.
It attracts thousands of people to the town.
The 46th Maulid is scheduled for Saturday 11th September.
