Inter Tribal Football Gala : Dagomba settles for a pulsating 1-1 draw against Kotokoli

Dagomba were held to a pulsating 1-1 draw by Kotokoli match day 12 of the Inter Tribal Football Gala on Tuesday.

Kotokoli were the better team at the early part of the game as they made early incursions and pinned their opponents into their own half but could not make use of the descent chances that came their way.

But it was the Dagomba’s who took the lead on the 11th minute, Baba Yahaya delivered a beautiful free kick on the right side to break the deadlock of the game.

The lead lasted for only three minutes as Mohammed Saana fetched the equalizer for the Kotokoli in the 15th minute.

Kotokoli nearly took the lead just before the break, but Bature’s header was saved by the goalkeeper.

The second half was a ding dong battle as both side continued to fight for the three points – the most descent chances came the way of Kotokoli team but they failed to make good use of them as the game ended 1-1.

Mohammed Saana of Kotokoli was crowned the most valuable player of the game.
