The Minister of Inner city and Zongo Development Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid Last week visited the North-East Region to inspect the Wale-Wale Astro-turf project.
During his Visit it was revealed to him that the project which is been built by the Zongo Development Fund is 90% complete.

He spoke with the contractors who then assured him that the project would be completed and handed over to the community by the end of this month.
The Youth and the opinion leaders of the community expressed delight and are very eager to use the facility.

The Wale-Wale Astro-turf is one of the seven turfs which is been built by the Ministry of Inner city and Zongo Development through the Zongo Development Fund. The Others are Madina, New Fadama, Akim Oda Zongo, Kyebi Zongo and Bolgatanga.
The Zongo Development Fund has also awarded contracts for ten more Astro-turfs to be built in Zongo Communities across the country.
