Majeed Waris joins Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus

Ghana forward, Abdul Majeed Waris has signed for Cypriot First Division side, Anorthosis Famagusta in a bid to keep his football career alive.

Waris, 30 joined The Phoenix on a two-year deal which will see him play at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium until 2024.

He first signed for Hartpury College in UK during his youth development but left to join HB Hacken in Sweden.

He went on to play for Trabzonspor, Porto in Portugal, Valencia in Spain, Lorient, Nantes and Strasbourg all in France.

In his career, he has made 142 appearances in the French League 1 with 39 goals.

At the national team level, he wore the national flag of Ghana in 31 official matches and scored four goals.
