Inter Tribal Football Gala : Gurushi/Sisala – Dagomba game to be replay after a pulsating draw

Gurushi/Sisala shared the spoils 1-1 with Dagomba in the first quarter final of the Inter Tribal Football Gala on Thursday.

In a game both sides exhibited a top class performance, none of the tribes was able to carry the day after a prolonged penalty shoot outs.

A goal from Kwame Pele gave Gurnshi/Sisala the lead, but Abdul Latif responded with a perfect free kick to draw the Dagombas level.

After a pulsating opening minutes, Gurunshi/Sisala took the lead on the 30th minute.

Ayew Pele headed home a cross from Yussif Chibsah to give them the lead.

Dagomba responded five minutes after going down, King Faisal midfielder Abdul Latif converted a nice free kick to draw them level.

After the break, Baba Yahaya combined with Huda Issah and the latter released Adarkwah but the striker could not direct his header on target.

Gurunshi/Sisala were denied a clean goal after Yussif Chibsah’s free kick cross the line.

Dagomba goalkeeper Fawzan Kepa was at his maximum best on the day denying the Gurunshi/Sisala on several occasions.

Both side held on till the blast of the final whistle.

The penalty shoot out ended 11-11 forcing the organizers to schedule Saturday for a replay of the match.
