Christians join Muslims for 6th Iftar at Jubilee House

The Jubilee House has held its 6th Ifar Banquet, with the country’s Christian community joining their Muslim brothers and sisters to break their fast at the seat of government.

More than a hundred participants attended the Islamic but colorful event held with a touch of religious harmony.

On behalf of the President, the Vice President, Dr. Mahmud Bawumia, welcomed the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Ministers of State, members of the Council of State, MPs, the leadership of the Muslim community, and some Christian leaders for the fete.

Since the institution of the Jubilee House Iftar in 2017, it has become a unifying platform where Christians join Muslims of diverse backgrounds to break the day’s fast and pray for the nation.

The holy month entered its final 10 days, in which Muslims across the world are expected to maximize their good deeds.
