Nii Futa: Nima Chief to mark 20 years anniversary on Sunday

One of Accra’s most prominent Zongo chiefs, Nii Futa will celebrate 20 years as Chief of Nima on Sunday, December 17th, marking two decades of sound leadership in one the porpular Muslim Community.

Nii Futa, as he is known, has served as the Chief of Nima, a heavily populated suburb in Accra, since  2003.

He oversees the Nima, home to an important Muslim community in Ghana’s capital city.

In honour of his two decades of leadership, all Zongo chiefs from across the Greater Accra region and other part of the Country  have been invited to attend the event, which is to marked with glitz and glamour.

Numerous festivities have been earmarked for Sunday, including cultural performances, speeches, and community service projects.

In addition to Zongo chiefs, government officials, politicians and national dignitaries are expected to attend the programme at Nima on Sunday.

The day will focus on bringing the Nima community together, enjoying cultural displays such as dancing and drumming, and recognizing Nii Futa’s legacy. A giant  feast will also be held to mark the occasion.
