Hon. Zak Rahman holds talks with Nima Chiefs

As he continues engagment with Community leaders

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East, Honourable Zak Rahman, on Friday continued his community engagement efforts by meeting with all 16 chiefs in the Nima community.

It comes just a day after a similar meeting with some Muslim leaders across all sects, including the national chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, Malam Ridwan, as well as the leadership of the Ahlus Sunna Wal Jamaah, at their office at the Islamic Research Institute at Nima.

Hon. Rahman’s meeting with the traditional leaders was held at the Nima and was attended by traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and other stakeholders in the constituency.

During the meeting, he reiterated his commitment to working closely with traditional authorities and other stakeholders to deliver development initiatives that will benefit the community.

“I am here today to seek your blessings and support for my campaign. I believe that working closely with traditional authorities is crucial for delivering positive change in our community,” Rahman said. “I want to assure you that I will be a responsive and accountable representative who listens to your concerns and works with you to find solutions.”

The chiefs expressed their appreciation for Rahman’s visit and pledged their support for his campaign. They urged him to prioritise issues such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure in his manifesto.

Rahman thanked the chiefs for their support and promised to work closely with them throughout his campaign and beyond. He urged the people of Ayawaso East to come out in large numbers to vote for him on December 7th.

“I want to thank you all for your time, your prayers and support,” he said.

“As your son and grandson, i will always count on your for your advises and guidance.

“And I believe together, we can deliver positive change in our community and make Ayawaso East a model constituency.”

Hon. Zak Rahman won the bid to lead the NPP in the Ayawaso East 2024 parliamentary election after defeating his close contender by 11 votes in the December 2nd, 2023 NPP parliamentary primary.

He is scheduled to meet the leadership of the Christian community in the constituency for the same purpose in the coming days.

This series of meetings with the religious leaders heralds his planned thank-you tour to be held later this month.
