The entire nation is behind you – Dr Bawumia charges Hasaacas to win Champions League showdown against Sundowns
Vice President Dr Mamudu Bawumia has sent his Goodwill message to Hasaacas Ladies, charging them to “make history” as they battle South African side Memelodi Sundowns Ladies in their African Women Champions League showdown this evening.
The Ghanaian side are in the maiden CAF African Women Champions League final and the vice president believe they have what takes to grab the ultimate.
With some few hours to the showdown, the vice president, who has been very supportive of the team, took to his social media pages to urge the team to make history.
“Best wishes to Hasaacas Ladies as you face Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the CAF Women’s Champions today,” he said.
“As I urge you in my video message, this is a great opportunity to make history. The entire nation is behind you.
“You can doooooooo it.”

Hasaacas looks favourites ahead of the game, being the highest scoring team with 10 goals against Sundowns 2.
Young striker Evelyn Boadu leads top scorer log with 5 goals.
The Sekondi based side are representing West Africa after winning the WAFU tournament earlier this year.
They are on the brink of making history for themselves, the Western Region, the country at large.
The are the most decorated Ghanaian female football club this year after winning everything that mattered most in the 2020/21 football season.
Should Hasaacas win the Trophy, they will be the second Ghanaian club to win a maiden CAF tournament after Accra Hearts of Oak who won the maiden CAF Confederatios Cup in 2004/5
