The national Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu pledges his support for Green Ghana initiative when the Chief Executive Officer Of Forestry Commission, Mr. John Allotey paid a courtesy call on him on Tuesday.
Sheikh Osmanu Sharubutu pledges his unflinching support for the project and urged the Ghanaians to partake in the exercise.
“I approve and support this project, I encourage all Muslims and non- Muslims to support this tree planting exercise,” he said according to GNA.
The Green Ghana project is a government initiative carried out by the Forestry Commission to plant five million trees across the country on June, 11 2021.
The Forestry Commission seeks to mobilize Ghanaians to help plant the five million seedlings which would be made available across the regions of Ghana.
