
The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu led a delegation of Moslem community and government officials to welcome back Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia from Hajj. 
The Chief Imam was at the Kotoka International Airport to see off the Vice President, who lleft Accra a couple of days ago for his first Hajj since assuming the Vice President position.
The Chief Imam was obviously elated upon seeing the return of his son, and his ecstatic, warm embrace of the Vice President left many who had also come to welcome Dr Bawumia thrilled.
In a brief address, Sheikh Sharubutu thanked the Almighty Allah for bringing the Vice President and his entourage back home safely, while the Vice President expressed his appreciation to the Chief Imam for his continuous support
Vice Presid3nt Bawumia added that he and his fellow pilgrims prayed to Allah Otoo continue to bless the country. We dedicated our prayers to the continued peace, unity, and prosperity of our beloved country. We will continue to pray for the growth and success of our dear nation, especially in this holy period”
The Vice President, who was accompanied by his wife, also expressed his gratitude to King Salman, king of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, for the warm reception accorded them and his team during the Hajj.
