First Hajj flight from Accra leaves for Madina

The first flight from Accra has left Kotoka International Airport for Mecca as more Muslims pilgrims Ghana embark on the for the big religious rituals in Saudi Arabia.
It comes after a successful completion of similar exercise at the Tamale International Airport, where four flights were used to carry over 1000 pilgrims in the Holy City.
The pilgrims, representing the fifth batch from the country, were airlifted on Thursday 30th June for their religious journey, that must happen once in one’s lifetime of a Muslim who can afford it.
In all, 3,000 pilgrims are expected to be flown directly from the country.
