This year’s edition, held at the newly constructed Fadama school Park, had an estimated crowd of about 10,000 people at the event ground, and several thousands who couldn’t get access to the ground on the streets of New Fadama singing songs of eulogies for the Prophet.

Local and international guests for the Maulid started arriving early last week, and on the eve of the event on Friday night, Fadama was agog with thousands of Muslims who attended ‘Hailala’ the pre-Maulid event which eulogises the Prophet and glorifies the Allah.
