Hausa secured their quarter final place
with an incredible fightback where they came from a goal
down to defeat Gonja 3-2 on Thursday.

The Hausa’s twice fought back from a goal down to become the first team to secure their quarter final spot.

It was Gonja who took an early lead in the game through Misbawu, the attacker taps home from close range to give his team the lead.

Jafar Mohammed levelled matters for Hausa heading home a cross from Umar Mohammed.

After the break, Gonja were awarded a penalty in the 65th minutes, Mallam Rabiu scored from the spot to restore their lead.

With five minutes left on the clock, Fabio scored a beautiful free kick to make it 2-2.

Three minutes later, Umar Mohammed sparked pandemonium with a finish in the penalty box to grab the maximum point fo Hausa.

The win is Hausa second in two games, whiles Gonja have nothing to show after two games.

Umar Mohammed was awarded his second man of the match after another excellent display.
