Super Star Hausa singer releases banger in honour of Vice President Bawumia

Premieres tomorrow on Iqra Radio

Renowned Nigerian Hausa singer Maryam Fantimoti has released a special campaign banger in honour of Vice President and NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Fantimoti, known in Zongo and Hausa circles for her exceptional talent and melodious voice, is said to have recorded the campaign song in honour of Dr. Bawumia, for his impactful work as Vice President and his generous support to humanity.

The song, titled, Bawumia Ikon Allah (Bawumia God’s Wonders), is expected to premiere on Iqra Radio 103.7fm, on the station’s morning show on Monday, September 15, 2024.

The talented musician combines danceable beats and traditional Hausa drums, with touching lyrics about the good works of Dr. Bawumia in the Zongo communities.

The music talks about many developmental projects Dr. Bawumia has championed for Zongos as President, especially in the area of education with a number of classrooms built.

Again, the song acknowledges Dr. Bawumia’s passion for Youth development, and mentions the 40 brilliant but needy students from various Zongo communities, who are currently in Cuba studying medicine through scholarship.

The singer also commends Dr. Bawumia for his generous support to individuals and the community, as well as his passionate support for construction of mosques and renovation of many others.

Mariam Fantimoti, even though Nigerian, is very popular in Zongos, particularly among Hausa. She is also familiar with happenings in the Ghanaian Zongo community due to her closeness to many.

One of her most popular hit song, which almost every Hausa-speaking person in Zongo can easily remember is “Jigida”, which means beads.
