The Kumasi Aboabo Youth has appealed to the government of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to consider constructing sports infrastructure in the Asawasi Constituency and its neighboring communities.
Jawad Madugu Ango, a member of the group, claims that a lack of modern sports facilities has resulted in low youth participation in sporting activities.
He says that construction of a modern infrastructure will revamp the community games, which have produced a number of talents in the Zongo communities.
In an interview, Jawad Madugu Ango said Asawasi has a number of talented youths who can make a living out of sports, but a lack of modern training facilities is affecting them.
He made mention of the likes of Abdul Razak the Golden Boy, Baba Adamu Armando, Mallam Yahaya, and Anyars Ibrahim Tanko, who passed through similar terrain before becoming stars.
