Salis Abdul Samed vows to honour every call-up to Black Stars

Ghanaian midfielder, Salis Abdul Samed, has expressed his readiness to play for Black Stars, saying he will be elated should he make Ghana’s squad for the Mundial in Qatar.

The RC Lens man, says an invitation to don the national coours will excite him because it will boot his career.

“A big player like (Erling) Haaland is not going to the World Cup and if I’m going to the World Cup, why won’t I be happy?,” he said in an interview with Joy Sports.

I’ll be very very happy. It will even give my career a huge boost. If it is Ghana and not even the World Cup I’m invited for, I’ll honour the call-up if I’m okay and have no problem.”

Salis, who joined the Ligue 1 side on a five-year deal in 2022 says it will be a dream come to play for the national team.

“I want to play for Ghana. I want to make my mom proud. What will be more beautiful than when my mother switches on the television and I’m playing for Ghana?

“What will be more beautiful than my relatives watching me on TV play for Ghana? It is everyone’s dream to play at the World Cup. Some countries are angry because they’ve not qualified for the World Cup.” he added.

The France-based workaholic midfielder is having a fantastic season, enjoying full throttle in all eight games so far this season.

His performances have got many football fans calling for his inclusion in the Ghana’s final 2022 World Cup squad, as a replacement for Arsenal star Thomas Teye Partey.
