The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has ended the second phase of his nationwide Ramadan tour with a visit to three Zongo communities in the newly created Western North Region on Sunday.
The communities the Vice President visited on Sunday to round off the second phase of the tour were; Dadieso, Akontombra and Juabeao. He interacted with traditional authorities and the people of these communities, and also joined his fellow Muslims in the respective Zongos of these communities to pray and interact.

Dr. Bawumia started the second phase of the Ramadan tour on Friday in the Central Region, calling on traditional authorities and interacting with Muslims in Awutu Bawjiase, Agona Nyakrom and Gomoa Mangoase.

The Vice President and his team continued with the tour in the Western Region on Saturday, where they paid similar visits to traditional authorities and Zongo Communities in Mpohor, Axim and Kpangbunli.

In each community visited, the Vice President thanked the traditional authorities for their continuous support of government policies for the development of the country. And in each of the Zongo communities, where he joined his fellow Muslims to pray, he urged them to continue to pray for the country, as well as its leadership, as both the government and the citizenry work together to develop the country.
The Ramadan tour is an initiative by Dr. Bawumia to connect with the Zongo Community nationwide to pray and interact with them during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

In the first phase of the tour, Dr. Bawumia visited the Oti, Volta and Eastern Regions respectively. So far, the Vice President has visited six regions and eighteen (18) communities.
