Afro Arab Group unveils magnificent Emirates Arena

An ultra modern sports complex, christened Emirates Arena has been commissioned in Nima, Accra during a glitzy ceremony attended by an array of personalities from business, sports and political circles.

Nigerian and Arsenal legend, Nwankwo Kanu headlined dignitaries who attended the ceremony, and special match involving a Kanu XI and Bright Addae XI played a commemorative match for the grand opening.

The magnificent Emirates Arena, built by businessman Alhaji Abdul Salamu Amadu, who is also the Chairman of Afro Arab Group, is located in the heart of Nima in Accra.

The complex has a VIP stand protected by glass, a two-tier all-seater stand, three giant screens as well as impressive dressing rooms located underground the pitch.

The walkway from the basement dressing room to the pitch, is akin to some of the known facilities in europe.

After the impressive opening of the facility, financier of the magnificent project, Alhaji Salamu Amadu expressed his delight and sincere gratitude to the Almighty Allah for a successful project and ceremony.

The facility is now open to the general public and it is expected to be a centre for sports activities and recreation for the people of Nima, New Town, Maamobi, Kokomlemle and all the communities around.
