Shamfiz J Modeling House is a unique (Islamic) modeling agency that has hit the ground running in Ghana and it is very popular especially on social media. It is one of the sub-companies under a registered company called Shamfiz J. The Shamfiz J Initiatives is also one of the projects under the Shamfiz J company.
It was founded by a young visionary graduate of the University of Ghana called Hajia Adiza Bala Faila in December, 2016 and it became public in 2017. The name Shamfiz J was creatively coined from the names of the three late siblings of Hajia Adiza who are; Shammuna, Hafiz and Jamila. So Sham from Shammuna, fiz from Hafiz and J from Jamila.
The idea of establishing the Shamfiz J Modeling House started when Hajia Adiza was in level 300 in the University of Ghana. She chanced on the photos of one of her Senior High School mates, Cecilia, who is a professional model on social media.
Being someone who had always had a passion to become a model and to establish a modeling house, she contacted Cecilia and told her about her intentions of starting a modeling house. Cecilia on the other hand linked her up with her manager, Dennis, who was also their school mate. After speaking with Dennis, she spoke to another mate whom she was close to, Ibrahim (IB). IB is a director and a photographer and he, like Cecilia and Dennis, liked and bought into the idea so they formed a team and began Hajia Adiza’s dream. Her brother and another friend of hers, Jennifer, were also of immense help in shaping her dream and starting it.
Hajia Adiza tries to sail through these challenges and others that come up by keeping her focus on her dream. She still works with the people who had helped her to realize this dream and though she has no formal salary agreement with them, she sorts them out whenever they embark on a lucrative project. She hopes to employ more people as her agency grows and when her offices are ready and in full operation.
So far, she is very pleased with the pace at which Shamfiz J Modeling House is growing. She believes in humble beginnings and that with time, there will be a massive growth.
