Hausa survive scare to win maiden edition of Inter Tribal Football Gala.

Hausa survived a scare after going down 2-0 in the first half before they squeeze through on penalties to win the maiden edition of the Inter Tribal Football Gala.
The overwhelming favourite almost let the game slip after Abdul Razak and Abeiku put Wangara ahead only for Odwomo and Umar Mohammed to draw them level in the second half.

Wangara had a dream start to the game taking a lead eight minutes after kick off, Abdul Razak reacted quickly and robbed the ball off Awal Mohammed before beating the goalkeeper to give them the lead..
Hausa despite pushing for the equalizer found themselves behind for the second time in the 38th minutes.

Abeiku made it 2-0 following another defensive blunder in the penalty box.
Hausa came back from recess looking more purposeful searching for the equalizer.
It didn’t take long before odein reduced their deficit in 51st minutes.
The goal came as a morale booster for Hausa, as they pushed for the equalizer.

Hausa won 4-3 on penalty shoot out to lift the trophy.
Umar Mohammed of Hausa won the most valuable player of the tournament.
Same player took home the top scorer award after scoring four goals in six game.
