
The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on July 30, 2022, held its 22nd Congregation for Masters and doctorate degree graduands.
In all, a total of 806 post graduates were awarded master’s degrees while 5 doctorate students were awarded Ph.Ds.
At a time where the campaign for girl child education in the Zongos has gathered momentum, there have been hundreds of Muslim women in the alumni of the University that have gone on to inspiring others across academia, entrepreneurship,, law, media, technology, policy, social impact, the arts, sports and more.
In this article, thezongomail.com shares with the world some of the Muslim ladies who graduated from the University as they tell their stories to inspire others into climbing up the academic ladder.
Hanana Muslim; MBA Finance

Hanana Muslim hails from the Upper West Region of Ghana. Born and breed in Accra, attended Achimota preparatory school, then moved to Adenta Community school where i completed my Junior high school education. Proceeded to T.I Amass in Kumasi for my senior high school education. Further pursued a diploma in integrated community development from UDS (wa campus). Moved to GIMPA to pursue a degree in Marketing and completed my national service at the Ghana Airports company. Challenged myself a again to pursue a Master in Finance from GIMPA. Currently working with the Ghana Audit service as an Auditor.
I believe in the saying that you can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. As a result i believe women must reinvent themselves and take their place on the tables where the important decisions are made. This i believe we must do in order to use all the talents and abilities given to us by the Almighty God
Rahmat Boamah Boakye Wasim; CA, MSc. Digital Forensics and cyber security

I’m Rahmat Boamah Boakye Wasim a Chartered Accountant by profession with 20years of working experience in Accounting, Finance and Auditing.
I attained my SSCE in 1996 from T.I. Amass, Fomena and continued to Accra Polytechnic to pursue HND Accounting in 1997. I started working as an Accounts Officer at Crown Cans in Tema right after National Service in November 2001. Started my professional exams in 2003 and joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana in 2009. Changed jobs in 2005 to join Ghana Telecom as a Finance Manager and left in 2011, three years after its acquisition by Vodafone as a Revenue Lead. In 2012, I completed my first Masters in Oil & Gas Management from Coventry University.
In 2015 after four years of pursuing private business, Rahmy Consult, I got an appointment as a Principal Auditor with the Audit Service, Ghana. I work as an Assistant Director of the Audit currently. In my spare time I manage a small consultancy service, Rahmy Consult and a mothercare retail business, Rahmee’s Kids. I also own, Produce and Host a budding Muslim Women’s TV show called CoverUp under CoverUp Productions, a content production venture.
I served as the National Financial Secretary from 2010 to 2020 and briefly as the Youth Secretary in 2020 of Lajna Imaillah, Ghana, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Wing Organisation.
I’m married and blessed with five amazing children. I believe that a woman should be resourceful, entrepreneurial and be influential in changing the narrative by telling her own story. I love to bring my positive light into any situation and everybody that I meet by inspiring them.
I live my life by one of my favourite quotes by Confucius that “The will to win, the desire to succeed. The urge to reach your full potential – these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”
Kubura Lamisi Mahamadu; MBA in Project Management

Kubura Lamisi Mahamadu, is a chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountant, Ghana since 2010. She started her Secondary education at Wa Community Day Secondary School in 1985, went on transfer to Bolga Girls’ Secondary School in the year 1988 where she obtained her Ordinary Level certificate (O’ Level) in 1990. She did her Advance Level at Wa Secondary School in 1992. She was the Senior Girls Prefect in Wa Secondary School for the 1991/1992 academic year.
She holds an MBA in Project Management from the Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and an MBA in Information Systems Management Sikkim Manipal University (India),
Other qualifications obtained are: Post Chartered Diploma in Forensic Audit (Institute of Chartered Accountant Ghana) and Ghana Accounting Technicians from Kumasi Polytechnic.
She is currently a Director of Audit with the Ghana Audit Service serving as a District Auditor with the Greater Accra Region. She also worked with Kumasi Polytechnic as Senior Accounts Officer, AGRIMAT as Accountant.
She is married.
