NPP Parliamentary Primary: Hon. Zak Rahman confident in winning Ayawaso East ticket

Parliamentary hopeful for the New Patriotic party in the Ayawaso East Constituency, Hon. Zak Rahman, expressed confidence in winning the party’s primary on Saturday, saying he believes he is a better person to unseat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in next year’s election.

As the primary approaches on December 2nd, he appeals to party delegates for their mandate and emphasises the importance of unity and tranquility during the election.

Zak Rahman, listed as number one on the ballot paper, faces fierce competition against Baba Ali, with the winner set to lead the NPP in the upcoming battle against the NDC’s candidate, Mahama Toure, in the December 2024 Parliamentary election.

However, Hon. Zak Rahman firmly believes that he has what it takes to secure victory for the NPP in the Ayawaso East Constituency.

In a video message to the party’s constituency delegates, Hon. Zak Rahman is determined to make a lasting impact in the Ayawaso East Constituency, presenting himself as a “son, brother, and grandson” of the constituency.

“I am coming your way because it is time for us to go and elect one person to represent our party going into the 2024 election, he said in a video recorded in Hausa, English and Twi.

I believe I am the most competent person; I am the most qualified person and I am the most experienced person, that when you give me the mandate to represent you, to represent our party in the Aywaso East Constituency, I know and I believe that for the first time in the history of our party, i should be able to rescue this seat from the NDC.

“Please remember to vote for me, Number 1, on the ballot on December 2nd that is on Saturday, so that together we will work and rescue this seat from the NDC.”

Calling for unity and calm, he sought the support of the party delegates in Saturday’s primary, expressing readiness to lead his party to victory and bring about positive change for the people of Ayawaso East.

With his experience, leadership qualities, and dedication to serving the people, he envisions a future where the NPP holds the parliamentary seat. Zak Rahman’s confidence rests on his unwavering commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of the constituency’s residents, as well as implementing policies that will foster progress and development.

Recognising the importance of cohesion within the party, Hon. Zak Rahman emphasises the need for calm and unity among the NPP delegates during Saturday’s primary.

He said that a united party is better equipped to face the challenges ahead and effectively represent the aspirations of the people. By urging delegates to vote for him, he seeks to rally their support and trust, as he believes his leadership will navigate the NPP towards victory in next year’s crucial election.

With his confidence, dedication, and belief in the NPP’s principles, he aims to unseat the NDC and emerge as the victor in next year’s parliamentary election should he be chosen to represent that party on Saturday.

If elected as the NPP’s chosen candidate, Hon. Zak Rahman intends to go head-to-head with the NDC’s Mahama Toure Naser in the December 2024 Parliamentary election.

Hon. Zak Rahman has run a vigorous campaign, engaging with constituents and presenting his vision and plans for a prosperous Ayawaso East Constituency. With his opponent set, Zak Rahman remains resolute in his pursuit of securing the parliamentary seat for the NPP.
