The first of ten flights scheduled to return Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims to Accra from Saudi Arabia landed safely Monday Night at the Kotoka International Airport.
Over one thousand pilgrims have already returned home in Tamale, with the first flight returning the Ghanaian pilgrims landing at the Tamale Airport on Saturday dawn.

Last nights’s flight was however the first bringing back those who travelled to Mecca from the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

The first flight returning the first batch of pilgrims to Tamale had originally been scheduled for September 14, but the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana rescheduled the return date and brought it forward by a week.
According to a schedule announced by the PAOG, flights from Jeddah to Tamale and Accra will run concurrently until all pilgrims who flew from the Tamale Airport return on Wednesday September 12.
The flight carrying the final batch of Ghanaian pilgrims to Accra is scheduled for September 19.
