Hafsat Abubakar crowned IUCG Miss Hijab 2022

Islamic University College Ghana (IUCG) has crowned Hafsat Abubakar as the winner of the IUCG Miss Hijab 2022 pageantry organised by the Student Representative Council (SRC).

The 21-year-old level 100 student, studying Business Administration, Specialty Human Resources, became the new face and an ambassador of IUCG after beating competition from eight other intelligent beautiful ladies in a keenly-contested event.

They all showed off Islamic fashions and worked to demonstrate religious values during the contest.

Four ladies made it to the finals of the event, which is in It is the 3rd edition but ultimately the crown went Hafsat, who hails from Offinso in the Ashanti Region.

She took home a refrigerator as the winning prize as she picks the ambassadorial mantle till the next academic year.

Her passion is to redefine beauty through modesty and to inspire young ladies to follow their goals. Her hobby is cooking and aspiring to become a naval Captain.

 

The Miss Hijab pageantry was established by the School’s SRC with the aim of  dissipating the misconception surrounding Muslim ladies and pageantry.

It is a platform for young Muslim ladies to take part and use it as a stepping stone to other higher pageantries, exploring their talents and also building on their confidence and articulation.
