
Asante Kotoko SC goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has been included in Ghana’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to reports.
The former Berekum Chelsea and King Faisal FC glovesman, who has been in sterling form for Ghana’s Premier League side, has secured a spot in Coach Otto Addo’s squad for Ghana’s fourth World Cup appearance.
Danlad will be honoring his fourth national team call-up after being in and out of the Black Stars.
The 22-year-old has started in all games for the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign, with enigmatic statistics to highlight.
“Danlad is doing well; he is considered for the World Cup.”
“He is among the 55 players called for the World Cup. not in the final 26-man squad, but I always tell my goalkeepers to do well and break my record.”
“I set a record to reach the World Cup quarterfinals, and they must break it, and I set a new one,” Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Richard Olele Kingston said.
Danlad has been impressively good for the Black Meteors and Black Galaxies, inspiring the Galaxies to secure qualification to the 2023 AFCON in Algeria.
