Fatawu Issahaku scores again to qualify Black Meteors to U23 Afcon

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored the only goal of the second leg game as the Black Meteors of Ghana booked a place in this year’s U23 Africa Cup of Nations on 2-1 aggregate.
The Sporting CP winger connected well with Ernest Nuamh’s cross to give Ibrahim Tanko’s side the victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Coming into the game with an away goal advantage, the Black Meteors needed a win to progress to the next stage and it came to pass in style as Fatawu grabbed his second goal for the team in the two leg tie.
It was on the 12 minutes of the the game, Nuamah surged on a forward run from the left side of Ghana’s attack and beat an opponent before picking out Issahaku who made no mistake from close range and slotted in for the opener.
The former Dreams FC man also had a couple more chances to make things worse for the Algerians but there were no positive end results.
The Black Meteors were by far the better team in both halves with Ibrahim Tanko making a few changes to the starting lineup that played in Annaba.
Tanko’s side came back from the recess well-charged again and ready to tear their opponents apart but still failed to convert their chances.
Just like he did in Algeria, Danlad Ibrahim was on top of his game as well in Kumasi and helped Ghana secure a slot.
