Black stars begin camping in Ethiopia ahead of Kenya clash
Sixteen players have so far arrived in the Black Stars camp in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as the team prepares for this weekend’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
Coach Kwesi Appiah and his technical team left Accra on Monday afternoon with some some players also arriving in Ethiopia on Monday evening.
Kwadwo Asamoah, Christian Atsu, Harrison Afful and Ebenezer Ofori are expected to join the team on Tuesday evening with twenty players expected to make the trip to Nairobi.
The team will train on Tuesday evening and will have a double training on Wednesday before flying to Nairobi on Thursday afternoon.
Hoffenheim Centre-back Kasim Nuhu Adams and John Boye could not join the team due to injuries the6 sustained over the weekend at their club sides with Rashid Sumaila handed a late call up.
Ghana are leaders of Group F with three points after thrashing Ethiopia 5-0 in the opening match whiles Kenya lost 2-1 in their opener against Sierra Leone.
