Barringa last minute hitch, Southern sector pilgrims will start arriving in Accra in the early hours of Sunday (tommorow), The Zongo Mail can confirm.
Flights for northern sector pilgrims completed their return schedule to Tamale earlier today, and 492 passengers are expected to leave Jeddah tonight and arrive in Accra at dawn on the first of 7 scheduled flights for the southern sector.
Departure formalities for southern sector pilgrims started earnestly on Thursday, and the process is expected to continue until next week Wednesday before the 7th and last flight to Accra takes off.
Following the special agency arrangement by the Hajj Board to carry passengers belonging to a particular agency in bulk, passengers of the first scheduled flight to Accra mostly belong to Al Balad Travel Agency.
Meanwhile, officials have commended Ghanaian pilgrims for their compliance to all departure formalities, making the process smooth.
Passengers with excess luggages beyond the approved limit make special arrangements with private courriers for their excess luggages to be brought home.
