Aliu Mohammed Bawure voted SRC President of Korle-bu School of Public Health Nurses
Aliu Mohammed Bawure, a level 300 student of the Public Health Nurses’ School, Korle-Bu has been elected the president of the Student Representative Council (SRC)
In an election held on Friday 1st July, Bawure polled 157 votes, representing 63% of total votes cast, Bawure emerged Victorious in the two horse race.
His contender Elsie Sarfowaa Adusei garnered 91 votes, representing 36% of the total.
He came into the election as a former regional Vice President of the NDC’s Tertiary Education institutions Network (TEIN) and he won the contest by a landslide.
Bawure’s victory in student politics dates back in his days at Navrongo Secondary School, where he was voted the School Prefect for the 2008/09 academic year.
And Friday’s election gave Bawure his second time in winning SRC election at the Tertiary level.
He was voted the SRC President at Presbyterian Nurse’s Training College, Bawku between the year 2011 to 2014 and additionally served as the TEIN vice president in that institution.
On 13th March, Aliu Mohammed Bawure was sworn in as a member of the National Executive Committee of the Bissa Development Association (BDA).
And his swearing in ceremony as the new SRC President of Korle-Bu Public Health Nurse’s School comes of next week.
