
Ghanaians from all walks of life are trooping to the residence of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia after losing hos mother Monday morning.

Dr. Bawumia confirmed the sad passing of mother, Hajia Mariama Bawumia on his Facebook post early Monday.
Following confirmation of the sad news, Ghanaians from all walks of life; political, religious, business, traditional rulers and general Ghanaians trooping to the Kanda residence of the Vice to commisserate with him.
National Chief Imam, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu arrived early morning with a delegation to recite special prayers for the departed Hajia Mariam, Dr. Bawumia and his family.

On the government and front, Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare has been sitting alongzide the Vice President, receiving dignitaries.

Aside the Chief of Staff, the Vice President has been flanked by NPP National Chairman Freddy Blay and Heneral Secretary, John Boadu. Also sitting around and sympathising with the Vice President are: Interior Minister, Abrosse Dery, Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey.

Leading members of the clergy who have so far visited Dr. Bawumia to commiserate with him include Bishop Nicholas Duncan Williams and Rev. Dag Heward Mills.

Leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces, the Police Service, as well as members of the doplomatic corp have also visited.
Hajia Mariama Bawumia will be buried tomorrow in Walewale.
