Sardawna of New Bortianor Zongo wishes BECE candidates ‘Good luck’ in their examination

The Sardawna (prime minister) of New Bortianor Zongo chief Suallah Sari has has sent a warm note of goodwill to candidates for the 2021  Basic Education Certificate Examination.

The business mogul extended his best wishes to students writing the final examination, which determines their next step in their academic journey.

About 571, 894 students are sitting for the final examination which begins on Monday at 2,158 centers nationwide.

In a statement issued Monday to students in New Bortianor and all over the country, Sardawna Suallah Salifu Sare urged the students to stay focused to come out with flying colours.

“Wishing all BECE candidates within Bortiano and all over the country all the best in their exams,” read a statement on a flyer of the chief.

Chief Suallah Sari, who doubles as the Bissa Chief of Bortianofr, has been very instrumental in the development of Education in the Zongo Communities across the Greater Accra region.

In July this year he embarked on a special campaign to improve Education in the Zongo Communities by donating about 100 white boards and other Educational materials to some selected schools in New Bortianor Fadama, Darkuman Shukura, Mamobi and Nima.

According to the West African Examination Council (WAEC),  a total of 571, 894 candidates are sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE), indicating an increase of 40,187 in enrollment.

The five-day examination exercise will have students sitting for ten different subjects, with French Language being optional.

The exercise begins on Monday, November 15, 2021 to Friday November 19, 2021.

A total of 531,707 and 517,332 candidates sat for the examination in 2020 and 2019, respectively.
