All set for fifth edition of N-Quad Inter-Tribe Football Gala

The talking is over, and it is now time for action as the fifth edition of the Ashanti Region N-Quad Inter-Tribe Football Gala kicks off this afternoon.
The competition, scheduled for Monday, June 1, promises thrilling football action as all participating teams battle for ultimate glory and bragging rights.
A total of 24 tribes will compete in the tournament, which is aimed at promoting peace, unity, and social cohesion within the community while also providing a platform for talented footballers to showcase their abilities.
The participating teams have been divided into six groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage of the competition.
Matches are expected to begin at exactly 4:30 pm. For the first time, the venue has been moved to Highlanders Park, Akwurem, following the completion of the facility’s Astro Turf project.
It will be recalled that last year’s edition ended abruptly after the park was closed for construction works.
One notable change to this year’s competition is the inclusion of Danda, who replace Mamprusi due to the current tensions involving the Mamprusi and Kusasi communities.
The opening fixture of the tournament will see debutants Danda lock horns with former champions Moshie in what promises to be a mouthwatering encounter.
