The esteemed Paramount Chief of the Saboba Traditional Area, Bowan John Mateer Sakojim IV, has conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the NPP government, particularly Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for what he lauded as transformative initiatives that have significantly enriched his community.
During a vibrant community assembly following a courtesy visit from Dr. Bawumia, the chief reflected on the remarkable progress Saboba has experienced under the auspices of the NPP’s governance. He underscored pivotal projects such as the Agenda 111 hospital, the establishment of military barracks, and various infrastructural enhancements as monumental achievements that have profoundly improved the lives of his constituents.
“We have witnessed extraordinary transformations in Saboba under your stewardship. These advancements have elevated the living standards of our people,” the chief proclaimed.
Bowan John Mateer extolled Dr. Bawumia’s character and leadership, portraying him as a paragon of integrity. He expressed unwavering confidence in the Bawumia-NAPO alliance, emphasizing that their collaboration is essential for propelling Ghana into a new epoch of advancement. “Your unwavering dedication and resolute purpose instill confidence in our community. We believe in your capacity to continue guiding us toward a more radiant future,” he affirmed.
However, amidst his commendation, the chief seized the moment to highlight the persisting challenges that beset his community. He earnestly appealed for immediate interventions to ameliorate the abysmal road networks in Saboba, expand vital infrastructure, and establish a tertiary institution in the region. He also championed the elevation of the St. Joseph Technical Institute to polytechnic status, accentuating the critical role of higher education in equipping the youth with practical skills.
“Education is the cornerstone of our development. Upgrading St. Joseph to a polytechnic will unlock greater opportunities for our young people and fortify the future of Ghana,” he concluded.
