In a remarkable act of generosity and community support, Honourable Zak Rahman, a prominent candidate in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries for the Ayawaso East Constituency, has donated 100 bags of cement towards the reconstruction of the Alhaji Amadu Mosque located in the Kusuntu Line electoral area within the Ayawaso East Constituency.
This revered mosque in the Nima suburb, which has long been a cherished spiritual centre for the community, collapsed some months ago while the congregation set up a campaign to get it reconstructed.

Recognising the importance of the mosque as a gathering place for worship, social cohesion, and community development, Rahman’s contribution will significantly aid in the rebuilding exercise.
Honourable Zak Rahman’s thoughtful donation reflects his commitment to uplifting the local community and preserving its cultural and religious heritage.
The donation of 100 bags of high-quality cement will help in restoring the mosque to its former glory, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for prayer and religious activities for all members of the community. The rebuilding process is expected to bolster unity and promote a sense of belonging among the residents of the constituency, which Honourable Zak is aiming to serve.

Speaking to the media during the donation, the Honourable Zak called for unity among members to ensure the development of the entire Ayawaso East Constituency.
“”I am incredibly humbled to contribute 100 bags of cement towards the reconstruction of this noble mosque, which serves this wonderful community,” he said.
“This sacred place of worship holds immense significance for our community, and it is our duty to ensure its restoration.
“We have over the years lived as one family in Islam, and through this gesture, I hope to embody the spirit of unity, compassion, and service that defines our noble traditions.
“Together, let us rebuild not only a physical structure but also the bonds of love and togetherness that make our constituency truly special.”

Zak Rahman, who has over the years demonstrated his dedication to service and community welfare, is vying for the New Patriotic Party ticket in the upcoming 2024 Ghanaian Parliamentary elections. He faces a two-horse race in the party’s primaries slated for December 2nd this year.
His support for the Alhaji Amadu Mosque project and other social intervention programmes further solidifies his position as a caring and compassionate leader, prioritising the needs and aspirations of the people he aims to represent.
This act of philanthropy not only benefits the immediate community but also inspires others to come forward and contribute to the betterment of society. Zak Rahman’s gesture serves as a shining example of the positive impact that individuals can make when they actively engage with their communities and work towards common goals.

As the reconstruction of Alhaji Amadu Mosque progresses with Honourable Zak Rahman’s generous donation, it is hoped that this endeavour will encourage greater unity, interfaith dialogue, and foster an atmosphere of harmony within the Ayawaso East Constituency. The collective effort to rebuild this significant place of worship epitomises the resilience and determination of the community to overcome challenges and build a brighter future together.
