
Fomer Ghana U20 captain, Zubairu Ibrahim has been handed a call-up into Ghana’s Under-23 squad for the U-23 AFCON qualifier against Algeria next week.
The 18-year-old, who plays for Montenegrin side Jedinstvo, is the new addition to the squad.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko has invited the talented forward to add depth to his attack ahead of the clash against the North African side.
The former King Faisal forward has hit the ground running at his new club scoring three and assisting two seven games.
Ghana will face Algeria in the final qualifying round of the 2023 CAF U23 Cup of Nations over two-legs.
Algeria are expected to host Ghana in Annaba in the 1st leg on Friday, March 24 while the 2nd leg takes place on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
The winner over two legs will join seven others for the tournament in Morocco November this year.
