Dr. Nadia Abdul Rahman: Russian-trained Doctor obtains Master’s in Public Health from GIMPA

A Medical Doctor at the Ghana Police Hospital, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Nadiatu, brought pride to her family on Friday after grabbing her master’s degree in public health from the Ghana Institute of Management and Professional Administration (GIMPA).

The Russian-trained Doctor was among over 100 graduates who received various honors at the school’s 22nd convocation, held at the Green Hills campus in Accra.

After completing her SHS education at Ghana National, Dr. Nadia moved to Tambov Medical University in Russia for her medical studies.

She returned to the country to begin working at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for a year before moving to the Ghana Police Hospital in Accra.

Aiming to fight to the top, Nadia decided to pursue her master’s program at GIMPA and graduated this year.

At Friday’s event, Dr. Nadia was joined by her family and friends to mark the great feat in the academic and professional lives of a young lady.

Dr. Nadia Abdul-Rahman joins the tall list of Muslims who have carved out role models for themselves, having sacrificed her comfort and youthful fun to achieve her aim.

She is the daughter of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Northern Development Authority (NDA), Sumaila Abdul Rahman.

The 26-year-old Dr. Nadia Abdul-Rahman is married and has a child.

She is a  product of Rev John Teye Memorial JHS.
