Inter Tribal Football Gala: Final game preview – Hausa vs Wangara

It’s time for the big finale! The Inter Tribal Football Gala is coming to an end and we’re expecting fireworks as Hausa come up face to face against Wangara at the Aboabo Middle B Park.

Following a shootout win against Zabarma in the semi-finals, Hausa will be looking to make history by lifting the ultimate on Saturday.

They’ll be locking horns with Wangara, who will be looking to defy all odds and lift the trophy.

Throughout the tournament, we’ve seen the Hausa engage is an amazing display of football, dominating their group stage and knockout round, blazing all the way to the final. They’re currently in top form and boast an outstanding defence as well as offence game.

Wangara on the other despite their slow start will be looking to live up to expectations and will need immense teamwork to defeat a tough opponent in Hausa.

Route to the final

Hausa haven’t really needed to move into top gear in their progression to the final. They picked up nine points from their three group games,they earned comfortable victories over Gurma, before beating Zabarma via shootouts to book their spot in the final.

Wangara recovered well after drawing their first two games defeated Dagomba to qualify from their group.

Their route to Saturday’s game has been a tad more difficult than Hausa. After beating Moshie in the quaters, they had to beat tournament favorite Gurushi/Sisala in semis played an additional 90 to seal the final spot.

Players to watch

Hausa wil be relying on the brilliance of the two brothers, Umar Mohammed and Jafar Mohammed to unlock the Wangara defense..

While Wangara, will be hoping Enyimba’s midfielder Mohammed Farouk and Toffic Umar step up for them on the day.
