Inter Tribal Football Gala : Wangara defeat Dagomba to top Group C

Wangara defeated Dagomba by a lone goal to advance to the quater final of the Inter Tribal Football Gala.

A second half strike from Saadiq was enough to hand Wangara a hard fought 1-0 win.

The Dagombas’ had the first scoring opportunity of the game but Huda Issah’s shot was saved by Kaisan Yuisu.

Dagomba came close again twelve minutes later when Sadiq header went wide.

Wangara took a surprise lead after the break, after a shot in the penalty box hit Saadiq to beat helpless Courtois.

Dagomba huffed and puffed for the equalizer but couldn’t break the resolute Wangara defense.

Despite their defeat, Dagomba qualified as the second best team in the group due to their superior head to head ahead of Fulani.
