Inter Tribal Football Gala : Mamprusi defeat Gurunshi/Sisala to advance to the next stage

Mamprusi played out a determined game to see off Gurunshi/Sisala 2-0 in the Inter Tribal Football Gala.

Goals from Baba Issah and Shamsu, helped Mamprusi to secure their place in the quarter final of the competition.

The game got off to a pulsating start as the two sides looked to take control of the midfield.

Mamprusi capitalized on defensive error to break the deadlock of the game in the 33rd minute, Baba Issah forced his way through before blasting home a shot from outside the penalty box.

Shamsu Shinolar made it 2-0 for Mamprusi few minutes later, the attacker finished home a pass from close range to double his team lead.

Gurunshi/Sisala came back stronger in the second half and wasted several chances.

Mamprusi despite been under pressure held on their lead till the blast of the whistle.

Mamprusi finished second on the standing with 4 points two points below first place Gurunshi/Sisala.

Baba Issah was adjudged the Man of the Match.
