Inter Tribal Football Gala: Mohammed Umar late strike help Hausa to pip Zabarma

Hausa left it late to pip Zabarma at the Aboabo Middle B Park on Tuesday afternoon to pick a win in the opening group D game of the Tribal Football Gala.

A late striker by Benab FC attacker Umar Mohamed was all Hausa needed to pick all vital points from a difficult game.

A quality save by Zabarma goalkeeper Joma, denied Hausa from taking the lead in the early stage of the game.

Both sides failed to fund the back of the net before the break in what could be described a cracking encounter.

Both sides returned from the break with Zabarma looking a better side than Hausa.

Samuel Kusi and Deco both forced Soulama to make a save in the game.

It all looked set to end in a frustrating draw for Hausa but Mohammad Unar had other ideas as he struck beautifully from the edge of the Zabarma 18 yard box to give Hausa a very late lead on the 90th minute mark.

Hausa defended very well till the blast of the final whistle.

The final first round game will see Gonja come up against Bissa.
