Mohammed Salisu to stay at Southampton despite huge City interest

It is unlikely Ghanaian international Mohammed Salisu will leave club Southampton despite plethora of offers, a source has said.
The towering guardsman has been linked to Manchester City in the past few days as the Sky Blues haunt for Nathan Ake’s replacement.
But according to official City Transfer Room sources, Mohammed Salisu is not expected to leave Southampton this summer.
Salisu could leave is if he forces a move, but this is considered highly unlikely.
He signed for the Saints from Real Valladolid in August 2020 for 12million and has established himself as an integral member of the team.
The Kumasi Sabon Zongo born Salisu recently declared his readiness to play for the Black Stars after several failed attempt by the Ghana FA.
