Sixteen teams battle for honor in the maiden Ashanti region Inter Tribal Football Gala

The talking has been done and it is time to walk the talk as the first edition of the Ashanti Region Inter Tribal Football Gala comes our way.

The competition is slated for today Tuesday, July 12, and promises to be exciting as all teams look set to grab the ultimate.

Sixteen different tribes will battle it for honour and bragging right in the competition that is purposely being played to promote peace and unity in the community and also provide footballers the chance to showcase their talents.

The 16 teams have been divided into four groups with the best two team in each group qualifying to the next stage of the  competition.

The games will kick off at exactly 4:30pm and will be played at the Aboabo Middle B Park

Asante will face Mamprusi in the opening game of the tournament on Tuesday .

The Ashanti Region thus becomes the second to hold the inter Tribal football Contested after the Greater Accra.
