Salifu Ibrahim registers an assist in Hearts of Oak’s 1-0 victory over WAC

Midfielder Salifu Ibrahim on Sunday assisted in the only goal of the match as Hearts of oak defeated Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco in their CAF Champions League clash at the Accra sports stadium.

A 40th minute cross from Ibrahim was connected by striker Isaac Mensah to give the Phobians a 1-0 advantage ahead of their second leg clash.

Salifu Ibrahim, together with Mohammed Fatawu, Mohammed Alhassan and Salim Adam were four out ten Zongo brothers who featured in the first leg of the CAF Champions League qualifiers

The Phobians could only manage a 1-0 win against the 2017 Champions at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ibrahim, 21, lasted 82 minutes in the game while his 40th minute superb cross was connected into the lower right corner of WAC’s net by striker Isaac Mensah.
