The first batch of 40 students from Zongo and deprived communities granted scholarship by the government of Ghana to study medicine in Cuba have arrived safely in the Carribean country.
The first batch left earlier in the week and their arrival Mark’s the beginning of a six year course to be trained as medical doctors.
The remaining students are also scheduled to be airlifted to Cuba next week.
The scholarship was granted the students by the government under the Ministry of Inner Cities and Zongo Development and the Zongo Development Fund.
