Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has presented cheques of various sums to 250 selected businesses from the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions.
The presentation was done in Tamale, is under the Presidential Business Support Programme, a government initiative to provide financial support to startups.
The initiative is also to facilitate private sector growth and job creation.
After the presentation, the Vice President entreated the beneficiaries to use the money wisely.
Launch of Students Entrepreneurship Initiative
Meanwhile the Vice President has also launched the Students Entrepreneurship Initiative at the Ghana Senior High School in Tamale.
The Students Entrepreneurship Initiative is designed by the Business Development Ministry to encourage students exiting Senior High Schools to develop an entrepreneurial mind, as well as prepare as prepare them to compete with the rest of the world.
